Gernot K. Ortmanns

is a qualified physician. He studied medicine in Bonn, Germany, and holds master’s degrees in Public Health (MPH) and Health Management (MHM) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia.
For more than 10 years, he worked in management and consulting positions in Europe and Australia. As responsible manager for Clinical Safety and Design Assurance he was involved in the development of the Australian National Electronic Health Record.
Since 2015 he works again clinically as a physician in Switzerland with a focus on internal medicine. Being also interested in research, he previously held a research grant of Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (DFG) and currently has a part-time position as a research associate at the University of Zürich.
